What's new in Mumble
Thanks for being on the Mumble list. A lot has changed since launch, so here's the short version.
A free plan with your own AI. You can now use Mumble for free with your device's own speech recognition and your own OpenAI, Claude or Grok key. Paste it into your Profile; it stays on your device, and your provider bills you directly.
Five ways to shape a note. Tap the bot and choose Tidy, Key Events & Actions, Summary, Topics & Outline, or Expand & Articulate. Your original words are always kept, so nothing you said is lost.
Mark what matters. Select any words to bold, italicize, strike through, or highlight them in yellow. Your formatting syncs with the note; copying still gives you clean plain text.
Blocks you can move. Every dictation is its own block. Drag to reorder, or drag a block straight into another app.
Dark mode. Mumble follows your device's light or dark setting, and the moon and sun button switches it whenever you like.
A better Home Screen icon. On iPhone, Mumble's icon is now a white mark on black. Remove and re-add it from Safari to get the new one.
Track your AI spend. Members get a dashboard showing notes, highlights and an estimate of what your own AI key has cost.
Guides for every step. The blog now has six how-to guides, from creating your account to adding Mumble to your Home Screen.
Coming soon: Mumble for Chrome, the same app in your browser's side panel.
As always: hold to speak, let go, and tap the bot.
