How to dictate: hold, release, or lock
Mumble has one control that matters: the round black button at the bottom of the screen.
Hold it and speak. Your words appear as you talk, with the newest word slightly larger so you can follow along. Let go and Mumble stops listening.
For longer thoughts, double-tap the button. It turns white with a black ring, which means it is locked and listening hands-free. Put the phone down, walk around, keep talking. Tap once to stop.
Each time you dictate, your words land as their own block on the page. You can drag blocks to reorder them, or drag one out into another app. You can also edit the text directly, select words to make them bold or italic, or mark them with the yellow highlighter.
Nothing is lost. While you are speaking, Mumble saves every few seconds, and History keeps everything you actually said, even if you later edit or delete words on the page.
The first time, your browser will ask for microphone permission. Choose Allow. If you said no by mistake, you can change it in your browser's site settings and reload.
