Bring your own AI: OpenAI, Claude or Grok

If you already pay for an AI provider, you can connect it to Mumble and use the AI modes with it.

Open Profile and find Your own AI. Choose OpenAI, Claude or Grok, then paste an API key from that provider's website. Tap Test to check it works; you will see Works, Not working, or Key rejected. When it works, tap Use this.

Your key is stored only in this browser on this device. Mumble never saves it to our servers; it is passed along for each request and then forgotten. That also means you will need to add it again on another device.

The provider bills you directly for what you use. Members can see an estimate of their own usage, by provider and model, on the Dashboard.

To stop using a key, remove it from the same card in Profile.
